I recently visited Spelt and Rye, a charming little bakery in Hucknall, and it’s safe to say I’ll be back! The almond pastry was absolutely scrumptious—rich, buttery, and just the right amount of sweetness. Their crusty cobs are equally impressive: perfectly crispy on the outside, with a soft and fluffy interior that makes every bite a delight. Such a gem of a place. Recently moved to hucknall and didn't know it was there but I was so glad I found it - their bread is insane I had the sourdough load and ciabatta, they were so yummy and the staff are just the loveliest. Would definitely recommend ❤️

Lovely little place to grab something nice the bread selection is very nice and made to a high standard. Unfortunately they don't do filled rolls/cobs but the amount of different sausage rolls makes up for it. Looking forward to trying some of the different one's they have available. The young lady that served us was very polite and helpful.

Only the best in this area. There’s a reason for such high rating and it’s the freshness of their bread and croissants. If you are filling yourself with crabs I think this is the best deserving place to buy it from. Parking is possible in the lane adjacent but can be tricky when full so better go with someone than drive there alone. Very quick service and it’s a take away so you don’t need to worry too much.

Best bakery around. So glad we stopped here before our camping trip. The staff are so friendly and passionate. Will defiantly be coming again!

Their gluten free bread is really delicious! The award winning dark loaf that I also got is the colour of chocolate throughout and complex and peppery in taste. Absolutely fantastic stuff! Customer service was friendly and I'll definitely be back. Keep up the fab work, guys!
This family-owned bakery offers the best bread in the region, hands down. If you appreciate fresh, high-quality bread with a homemade touch, you'll fall in love with this place. The friendly atmosphere and delicious breads make it a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Really enjoy the White and Wholemeal rolls. Very tasty and fresh. Excellent customer service. Phil (the owner) goes beyond expectation to please.

We will come again and certainly check out the place more. For anyone else, you just need to be aware of their times as I've often wanted to check out the place and they were closed. Google times were not up to date the last time I checked.Superb artisanal bakery serving hand crafted and authentic French breads and pastries. As good as anything we’ve enjoyed from the best boulangeries in France.

What a wonderful shop and such lovely produce. The bread is superb. Charming staff. Even though it is a distance to drive from where we live we shall certainly be returning to Hucknall. Easy parking with only a short walk to the shop. A Saturday morning is best as that's when they have their full range of bread and cakes. Check it on their website.

I came across it whilst looking up wheat free/gluten free baked products as I was looking for bread that had that unique home cooked bread tasting experience and sure enough, this place has the taste I can only describe as a childhood memory of my dear deseased grandmother's homemade replica in my opinion 👌 That's not all. They do other tempting little goodies. I was like a kid in a can't store upon my first visit and I was greeted with a real friendly smile too. The young lady Abi is so helpful and really pleased. Friendly staff and out of this world pies and sausage rolls. I’ve sampled a few of their selection: Hog roast sausage roll, steak and ale pie, bbq pulled pork pie, leak sausage roll, mustard sausage roll. All of them are Delicious, also they do great sourdough. Sounds like I’m a right fatty! Well it’s that time of year. Thank you.
Ordered 20 croissants for my daughter’s wedding morning, they were by far the best we had tried, thank you so much, we are still talking about them now.
